Back in the 1970’s much of the furniture in your home would have been made in Australia. This included the never to be forgotten lounge. Many teens back then had their first “encounter” on Australia Made Lounges.

Skip ahead in time and much of the Australian manufacturing slowly shifted to overseas manufacturers, and the much of the Australian manufacturing industry dwindled. This included the production of Australian Made Lounges.

The Australian Made Lounge took a back seat to its imported competition, but many of the earlier examples still live on and can be found in many homes still going strong and still adding comfort and familiarity to many Australian lounge rooms.
